Patrick Rattigan and his wife mary Lynch first documented appearance in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1858..as follows
John born August 19, 1858, baptized August 22, 1858 in St. Paul's Cathedral, Pittburgh, PA.; parents: Patricio Ratigan and Maria Lynch; sponsors: Patricio and Margarita Fox.
I have not been able to find any brothers, sisters, parents of
either Patrick or Mary... Can not determine where they were married. No record of them being married in Pittsburgh.Possibly, they were married on the east coast after arriving.
John was their second son.Michael their first child was supposed to have been born December 1856 in Pittsburgh, however there is no record of this nor any church baptismal record.I "feel" they arrived in the U.S. about 1854-55, possibly single, married on East coast. Then for unknown reasons settled in Pittsburgh, PA.
I have not been able to locate children/grandchild of two of Patrick's children:Mary Rattigan Burl b. 8/15/1863 Pittsburgh
d. 4/10/1910 Ford City, PA... Her husband John Burl moved to Detriot, MI. along with their children. The second child I am unable to find choild/grandchildren on is Thomas Rattigan b. 1/17/1864, b. Pittsburgh, PAd. 10/25/1917 at my grandfather's home in Fordy City, PA..Thomas was living in Philadelphia, PA but was at my grandfather's William Rattigan's home when he died.
Thomas was buried in Philadelphia, PA...The following is all I know on his family: (1).Married Leana Nulette--per Francis' Rattigan's notes (2).Thomas died at William Rattigan's residence 5th Ave. Ford City, Pennsylvania-- at 11:20 pm. (3). He had apparently lived in Philadelphia and is buried in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
***NOTE IT APPEARS THAT HIS WIFE MAY HAVE DIED AS THERE IS NO MENTION OF HEREITHER IN THE ESTATE FILING OR 1920 CENSUS***
On the estate filing---which was done at the Armstrong County Court House, Kittanning, PA----Thomas left the following survivors:
Stella RattiganDaughterPhiladelphia, PA
William Rattigan was the Administrator of the Estate..
Unable to locate an obituary in the Kittanning Daily Leader Times newspaper.
In Francis' notes--he indicated that Thomas had spine trouble. He also writes that Thomas was buried Monday 10/29/1917 in Philadelphia.
Note I was not able to locate Thomas Rattigan in the 1900 or 1910 PA census.
I located the above children in the 1920 U. S. Census Index of Pennsyslvania
It shows the following:

Note the estate filing did not list the children 's middle initals or ages..Based on the 1920 census I added the middle initals and approximate dates of birth.. Also the census did not list Stella...I have not found any of the above in the 1910 Penna census....
I would appreciate any information/leads pertaining to the above mentioned.
