MICHAEL KELLAR, born about 1760 in Augusta County, Virgina, married CATHARINE MONROE, daughter of Thomas Monroe and Catherine Hore of Westmoreland Co., VA.Michael and Catharine were married in 1780, Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co., VA.Michael died in 1816 and Catharine in 1825, both in Fairfax County, Virginia.
There were 9 children:1)Joseph GEORGE (nothing further is known; he may have remained in Alexandria),2)HENRY (lived in Strasburg, Shenandoah Co; possibly single), 3)MARGARET (m. Boling Hatton; the family moved to Noble Co., OH),4)CATHARINE (m. Benjamin Hatton; they lived in Loudoun and Fairfax Co.)5)MICHAEL (m. Nancy Dyer, dau. of Hebron and Mary; the family moved to Noble Co., OH),6)SUSAN (single; is buried in The Old Graveyard on Queen St.),7)ELIZABETH (m. Jacob Miller---they lived and died in Strasburg and are buried on Queen St.),8)SARAH (m. Mr. Meyers; nothing further known), and,9)CATHARINE SCOTIA, aka-Scotty, (m. Isaac Borum; they are both buried in Strasburg on Queen St.).
Some of Michael and Nancy’s children moved to Warren Co., IA, Brown Co., IN, IL and WI;some of Boling and Margaret Hatton's children moved on west into IA and IL, and some of the Borums went to MO.
