Relatives of William Henry Ream, Jr.Updated January 7, 2012

This uploaded GEDCOM contains everything I have on all of my ancestors & their descendants.I would be happy to share with other genealogists.
However, you should be advised that I have been diagnosed with "Genealogist's Pox".This disease is believed to be very contagious.Adults, especially, should be very wary of this disease. It has not only been known to have passed from one adult to another, but from one's descendants to oneself. Thus, if your child, grandchild, niece or nephew, or little sibling should say, "Teacher said I have to find my ancestors and write about them...", be sure to avoid them and develop a case of amnesia!
The symptoms of Genealogist's Pox include a continual need to look for more names, dates, places & facts about ones ancestors & their descendants. The patient can have a blank expression and is sometimes deaf to the spouse & children.He/She also has a feverish need to look through records online and in libraries & courthouses. The affected has also been know to visit cemeteries in little known counties to find his/her ancestors' burial plots and visits small villages looking for his/her ancestor's anceint abode.
Unfortuantely, there is no known cure for Genealogist's Pox.While it may occasionaly recede, it can reappear anytime without warning and is usually worse than the last time. While Genealogist's Pox is not fatal, it does seem to get progressively worse; remarkably, the worse the patient gets this disease the more he/she enjoys it.
No medication cures this disease, however, the symptoms can be treated. The patient's family should 1) see that the patient is given plenty of time to visit the odd places he/she wants to visit, 2) give the patient a quiet corner with a computer hooked up to the internet and allow plenty of time for the patient to peruse the various online genealogy sites and 3) all future gifts to the patient should be related to his/her genealogy work.
The above wast taken from a posting found in the Huntington Co., In. library. While the author is unknown, I hope he/she forgives me for the slight changes I have made in his/her work in adapting it to this page.
