|James Wensley Redfarn|
| This "Redfarn London UK" family tree is based on physical resources painstakingly collected over many years by my late father, Leonard Douglas Redfarn (1901-1992).|
My role has been to expand and consolidate this family tree and publish it on the internet. This is the first of three online family trees. It has been given the title "Redfarn London UK Family Tree" because many of the earlier records refer to locations in and around London, U.K.However, there are many relations included in this tree who were born in other regions of the UK, and a substantial branch relating to relatives whose home is/was South Africa.
The title "London UK Redfarn Family Tree" also serves to distinguish it from two other Redfarn family trees which are in the process of preparation:
The "Redfarn Cambridge UK Family Tree"
The "Redfarn USA Family Tree".
These last will be published on the internet, when more facts have been verified and more loose ends have been tied up. To this end, I would be pleased to freely exchange information regarding Redfarn family trees.
The London and Cambridge family trees are centred around families who used theR-E-D-F-A-R-N spelling of the surname.
However, this is not the case with the "Redfarn USA" Family Tree. The "Redfarn USA" family tree started off with the discovery of a document on the internet owned by John Reznik. This document, is dated July 1788 and is signed personally by President John Adams. The document grants land to Isaac Redfarn. The document clearly shows the spelling R-E-D-F-A-R-N for the surname. However, members of Isaac Redfarn's family tree are recorded with the varying spellings of the surname, e.g. Redfearn, Redfern, Redferne, etc.
My hope is that additional information will enable the three Redfarn trees to be amalgamated.
