Notes for Mary Lyon Ewing:Cousin Mary visited Russellville in the late 1930's,when Della and William Swilling were l.iving with Mack Patrick.She was a very small woman with white hair,wiry body,bright piercing eyes and an alert mind.She spoke of her work in a chemical lab for an oil company.She told of a house in Kentucky that belonged to the family but which had been boarded up because of inheritance litigation.The house, a large red brick structure with many outbuildings (slaves' quarters),barns, and stables was in the "bluegrass" country.She said it was most impressive.
