John and James Archibald Reed settled in Westmoreland County, Penn. and went on to fight in the Revolutionary War and served under Capt. Thomas Campbells, Company Rangers at Fort Wallis. We know only of one son of James Archibald Reed, John Reed and his son, James A's grandson Mathew Reed who migrated from Westmoreland County to Northern Wabash County, Indiana in 1839 with his wife, Isabella McCutcheon and his first four children.
