I am currently researching my ancestry through a period of early American history. My search includes the surnames of Reeves, Harris, Lockwood, Mckee, Jellison, Wilson, Newcome, Stitsel, Porter, McKinley, Green, Free, Postlewait, McCalmont, McKinstry, Ross, Watson, Fritz and Cochran. The majority of these people settled in central and western Pennsylvania in the late 1700s and early 1800s. I would like to trace all of these lines back as far as possible and determine the nationality of each. I am willing to Share what informatin I have and would appreciate aditions or corrections from others.
In addition to the above, I am interested in my Wife's ancestry through the Makufka (Polish) and Waylonis (Lithuanian) lines. Both of these families came to this country in the late 1800s or early 1900s. I have very little on them at the present time.
