|My search started some six years ago when I realised that if someone did not record what my Mother, who is the fountain of all family knowledge, had been recalling for years it would be lost forever. As a result I took it upon myself to take up the challenge.Hours were spent noting down all the Scottish family (Higgins from Chester/Swan from Dundee) members she could remember, visiting websites, registrars, grave yards and searching local records.|
My Father then got intersted, giving me information about his Welsh family (Reynolds from Llangranog/Davies from New Quay), relations and ancestors.More searching this time in Wales, which resulted in meeting two great-aunts that I never knew existed.
It has all resulted in over 600 names being added to the family tree, meeting lost relatives and untangling many truths handed down inaccurately through the generations.
It has proved a most compulsive adventure investigating the archives and census. I find I am hooked and determined to find as many of my relations as I can, living or dead.
Any help would be most welcomed
