My Family Tree starts out in 1792 in Anglesey, North Wales where all my father's family originates. My search started because my family was looking for an ancestor who had immigrated to the United States of America.I thought it might be easier for me to do the research since I live in America with my husband and son.Unfortunately, I had no luck whatsoever in finding this particular family until recently. All I knew was that John Evans and his wife, Jane (nee Lloyd), came to America with three children - Herbert, Rhoda and Lloyd. Finally, today, October 16, 2001, I found the entire family on a ship manifest in Ellis Island. After years of looking and searching, I couldn't believe it.John and Jane sailed from Liverpool on April 10, 1907 with their children, Lloyd, John, Rhoda, Hugh Roland, Edward and Herbert.According to the manifest they were going to Utica, New York.I now have more research to do! There must be decendants of John and Jane living in the U.S. and I just hope they see this tree and contact me - there are an awful lot of cousins awaiting you in North Wales! |
