When Phillipa died in 1839, Humphrey was living in Portquin, St. Endellion.
In the 1871 British Census, St. Minver Church Village, Humphrey was listed as an 82 yr old "retired schoolmaster."His second wife, Caroline, was 70 yrs of age in this return.
Aunt Doreen has a commemorative cup that indicated a Mr. G or H ? Craddock received the gift in 1868 and it was inscribed as follows:
"Thanks for 45 years service as Parish Clerk at St. Minver and as a Teacher for 25 years."

Humphrey left a will which was proved on Sept. 30, 1876 in Bodmin, Cornwall.It left the estate at St. Minver, valued under 600 pounds, to Caroline Craddock, widow.She was also present at his death in the Church Town of St. Minver, Aug. 27, 1876.(Trascription follows below)

"This is the last will and testament of me, Humphrey Craddock, of Saint Minver in the County of Cornwall, Yeoman whereby I commend my soul to God and dispose of my worldly Goods and Estate and Effects in manner following (that is to say) I give bequeath and devise unto my Wife Caroline a Craddock all those my Messuayes, Dwellinghouses, Sand Pit and other outbuildings with the appointances respectively situate lying and being in the Village of Portquin, Saint Endellion and County aforesaid and now occupied by Charles Thomas.To my said Wife Caroline Craddock during her natural life afterwards to devolve to my grandson Thomas John Craddock Mitchell to him his heirs executors and assignees forever.Also I give and devise to my said Wife Caroline Craddock all my Book, debts, Household Furniture and money and Securities of money that may be found in my house at the time of my death also my said Wife Caroline Craddock shall be at full liberty to take the Interest of all the monies which there is Securities for and also any moderate part of the principal of such monies for her sole use and comfort during her natural life.Also, my said Wife Caroline Craddock shall be at liberty that if any of the monies which I have Securities for shall be paid in she shall put the same in same good Bank in order to secure the same.Also, at the time of the death of my said Wife Caroline Craddock the monies that shall remain shall be equally divided among my surviving children and I do by virtue of this, my last Will and Testament, make my said Wife Caroline Craddock the sole Executrix of all I am possessed or may possess at the time of my death and I do hereby declare that this is my last Will and Testament whereby I revoke all former Wills and Testaments as being now without effect.In witness thereof, I, the said Humphrey Craddock the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this and the preceding sheet of this paper setting hand and seal this sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three."

The Testator, Humphrey Craddock, was late of Saint Minver in the County of Cornwall.Yeoman and died on the 27th day of August, 1876 at Saint Minver aforesaid.

In later probate records, the following is recorded for Humphrey's estate, then valued at 300 Pounds.
"October 17, 1884:Administration (with the will) of the Personal Estate of Humphrey Craddock late of St. Minver in County Cornwall, Yeoman, who died 27 Aug 1876 at St. Minver left unadministered by Caroline Craddock, Widow, the relict the sole Executrix was granted to Mary Ann Mitchell of the Parish of Endellion in the said County, Widow, the daughter and one of the Next of Kin.Former Grant at Bodmin September 1876."
