| || Notes for John Vincent:|
[Harris Family of England.FTW]
Would like to make contact with any descendant of JOHN VInc ENT who was
hh636 on the 1850 Halifax County, census age 33, with wif e Leonora 22, Virginia
5, Elizabeth 3, Susan 1, and Eliza Beasley 30.
My grandfather told an uncle in the 1920s that his uncle J ohn remained in
Halifax County, married Ellenora Busby and had seven childr en James, Benjamin,
Joseph, Jennie, Susan, Elizabeth, and Ellen.
James married twice but had no children.
Susan married a Howell.Jennie (Virginia?) married a Pear .Benjamin and
Joseph both married and had families.
This may be fairly accurate because my grandfather's fathe r left North Carolina in 1847
for Tennessee and probably kept in touch with the family ba ck in North Carolina for
John's mother was Elizabeth (Rose?) [hh637 age 64 with dau ghter Nancy age
25].His father Burkett Vincent died about 1847 in Halifa x CountyJohn's
other sibling's were
James twin to John, Elisha twin to Nancy, Susan, Burkett(Jr .),a daughter
who married a Fulghum, and my great-grandfather William Hir am who went to
TN with his wife's family.
Would be delighted to exchange information on Burkett and E lizabeth's
children's families who remained in North Carolina. Thank y ou.Pat Vincent, 212 West
