The Complete Peerage (CP VII/2 pg. 751) indicates that Robert de Quincy d.s.p. 1217 in London and that he was accidentally poisoned through medicine prepared by a Cistercian monk.
Robert is sometimes confused (as in The Magna Charta Sureties, 1215 MC 107-2) with his uncle, also Robert de Quincy.(CP VII/2 pg. 748, note (g))
