ChipRuble Sebastopol,CA | The Rubles have lived in Frederick County, VA since the 1730s. The original settler, ULRICK RUBLE moved to the Back Creek Valley near Pughtown (now Gainesboro) in the 1730s.His sons moved from the area spreading the Ruble name into the frontier through western Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. My lineage remained in the Frederick County, VA and the adjoining Berkeley County, WV area for the past 250 years. My hope is to establish a clear understanding of how the Rubles that currently live in these counties are linked back to ULRICK RUBLE.Any helpthat you can give me would be greatly appreciated. My research focuses on two individuals: PETER RUBLE (born Frederick Co, VA about September 1819)and JOHN RUBLE (born about 1754 and died FREDERICK CO, VA before MAY 2, 1836).
