| Before you begin reading, I would like to say a word about errors. As you read the information within this study, remember this; not all print is factual. I've tried carefully to analyze all facts and figures but even official records can have errors. Many of these errors go unnoticed until several records with slightly different information can be cross checked. |
Some of the information in this study is information that has been handed down from generation to generation through family bibles, word-of-mouth, interviews, notes and letters, all of which can be incorrect. I've tried hard to validate everything against actual documents.
As a recorder of our family history, I'vetried very hard not to introduce new errors through typos or misinterpreting information. These kind of errors, once in print, can become excepted as fact, and very hard to disprove. In these notes, I've tried to state where the information originated.
There are several people I want to give a special thank you to. First, my Grandfather, Nelvin Wesley Ruth, who passed away a few years back. From his hand written and detailed notes I was able to start my research. With out them, I would probably have never started this journey.
My Dad, Robert Duane Ruth, also deserves a special thanks. It was my dad that has helped me interpret many of my grandfathers notes and stories.
Ruth Green also deserves a special thanks. She has had an endless supply of important information and family stories. I've spent many a night on the phone with Ruth discussing different possibilities.
Lastly I want to thank everyone else that has donated information and time to this study.
With this said, please enjoy. - Robert William Ruth
