|After two years of research, both on & offline, I have traced the line of my greatgrandfather Franz Anton Heptig back to Tiergarten, a. Oberkirch, Baden, Germany. Franz Anton Heptig was b. 24 Sep 1868 to parents: Anton Heptig (of Tiergarten, Baden, Germany)& Maria Anna Wiegert (of Waldulm, Baden-Baden, Germany). Circa 1882, Franz Anton immigrated to America, and settled in Brooklyn, NY, in abt. 1891-92 he married Fredericka Dorothy Staab (b. 26 Oct 1871, Heigenbruecken, Aschaffenburg, Bavaria).|
The Reinbolt line goes back to that of my greatgrandfather Charles Reinbolt, b. 4 Jan 1868, Alsace-Lorraine, France; Charles married Catherine Beck (b. 1870, NYC, NY) probably in NYC, NY - abt. 1893-94. Charles was a Butcher by trade and owned a Wholesale-Retail Meat Packing business in the New York City area, together Charles & Catherine operated the business up until his retirement at the age of 41. They had three children: Lucy Reinbolt (b. abt. 1894), Arthur Reinbolt (b. 23 Nov 1896 - my grandfather) & Martha Reinbolt (b. abt. 1898). Upon Charles' retirement the family relocated to one of their favorite spots, Peekskill, Westchester Co., (upstate New York). Here their youngest daughter Martha, married Lester McCoy & brought up their two children, Richard & Joan.
From time to time there will be new information posted. Thank you for visiting.
