|I am researching the SELLERS Family line. The information that I have indicates that my G-G-Grandfather was in or around Baker County, Georgia in 1850. Supposedly this is where my G-Grandfather John Sellers was born. To date I have been unable to verify that this is the actual birth place of John. All of the census mircofilms that I have access to are faded and half of the contents are unreadable.|
What I am searching for is a SELLERS Family census record, probably 1860, that would include all of John's sisters, which are shown below:
Cynthia - 1846
Jane - 1848
John - 1850
Nancy - 1852
Amanda - 1854
Mary - 1857
Millie - 1860
Unfortunatly, since I do not have the information, this family could be from almost anywhere. My best guess is the South East
region, possibily Baker, Mitchell counties in Georgia or somewhere around the Dothan, Alabama area. This family seems to tie in to the Littleton Sellers shown on the 1850 Baker County, Georgia census. I say this because one of the children of my G-Grandfather was named George Littleton Sellers and since this is an unusual name there is a possibility of a tie in.
If there is anyone out there who has information or that can help me I would sincerely appreciate thier assistance.
This family finally settled in North West Flordia in Washington and Holmes counties. I have all of the information descending from my G-Grandfather and will share with anyone.
