The Selena Jackson Family, From Calvert County, MarylandUpdated September 5, 2000
I am researching the SELENA JACKSON family from Calvert County, Maryland. Selena Jackson is believed to have been a slave during the 1820's in Calvert County, Maryland on the Parker Wharf Plantation. Selena had one known daughter, Mary Jackson born in Calvert County between 1850 and 1860. Mary Jackson had several children, one known daughter Sarah Saunders. Sarah Saunders was born in Calvert County Feb. 10, 1896, she married John W. Gross Sr. They had seven children: Wilson, Charles, Mary, Florence, Troby, Sarah and John W. Gross Jr. I have been unable to find any census information on Selena and Mary Jackson to date. Any information would be appreciated.
