|The research contained in "The Zeller-Sellers Family: From Germany to Virginia and Beyond" begins with the appearance of Heinrich Zeller and family in 1738.Heinrich, wife Anna Maria, a young daughter, Anna Barbara, and young son, Johannes, immigrated from Germany to America aboard the ship, "Queen Elizabeth", landing in Philadelphia on September 16, 1738.The family remained in Pennsylvania until late 1749 or early 1750 when they migrated to Virginia, landing at Jacob Stover's patent in the area between McGaheysville and Elkton.|
Nothing is known about the family during their years in Pennsylvania, and research still continues in this area. However, the family's emergence and prosperity in Virginia, beginning in 1750 and extending to present-day, continues to be documented and become more well-known.What I have attempted to do is to not only document those Zeller-Sellers of direct ancestry but also those of what I call "Allied Families" that either married into the Zeller-Sellers family or had a Zeller-Sellers marry into their own.I also have attempted to include as many documented church, marriage, military, and land ownership records as possible. If a date has been included for an individual in terms of birth, death, marriage, baptism, etc., it can be concluded it has been documented from an official record of some sort.If no date has been included, then I have either not uncovered one OR I have not verified it.
This page is an ongoing work-in-progress.Anyone with questions concerning individuals listed here or with additional information they'd like to add, please feel free to contact me via email at any time.
Currently, the search for the origins and immediate family of our original ancestor, Heinrich Zeller, is ongoing.Likewise, additional verifiable information for his known sons and daughters is also and always ongoing.
This website is dedicated to the present-day Sellers families and ancestors of Heinrich and Anna Maria Zeller ....
