My ancestors came to the United States from Germany/Prussia, Austria-Hungary (a part of which is now in Yugoslavia) and Ireland. Of my grandparents, three were of German ancestry, the other of Irish (and possibly some English) ancestry. Some of my ancestors are known to have been in the United States as early as the mid-1770s, while the last group of immigrants arrived in 1892. They are known to have lived in the following states: Delaware, Indiana, Maryland, Ohio and Texas. Here are the surnames I have found in my research as of Feb. 20, 2000.
