Shaddix, born c.1829 in North Carolina, married Jamima H. Hanes (?) in Georgia (Fayette Co.?) 18 July 1847, died 25 Apr 1865.They moved to Cass Co. Texas in 1854 and had children Elizabeth, Mary J., Malinda J., Jeff Joshua (J.J.), and M. J.He served in Civil War in Co. E, Col. Harrison's regiment (don't know the regiment number).He enlisted 8 Nov 1863 at Shreveport, LA. and died 25 Apr 1865, presumably either in battle or of disease during the war.I don't know much else about him, and am very interested in any information! | |
