|Rebecca Liner Sheriff|
| I am currently searching the surnames: Liner (Lyner), Henderson, Pace, Phillips, Arledge, Grubbs, Harper, Southern, Marshall, Morris, Gwinn (Guinn), Forrest, Smith, Southern, Marshall.|
I have traced some of my ancestors to the 1500's, but I still have a lot of holes to fill.
The Liners (Haywood Co. NC; Haralson Co., GA; Franklin Co., GA; Cabarrus Co., NC; McMinn Co., TN) Descendants of Henry Lyner who originally settled in Augusta County, VA. My Liner branch, Matthew Liner, was from Waynesville, NC and Crabtree TWP., NC. The Hendersons, Bennett and Mary Frances Smith Henderson, lived in the Greenville, Greer, Landrum, York, and Spartanberg SC (Greenville and Spartanburg counties). The Paces, John Pace and Addie Arledge and the Arledges, Eli and Adeline Pace Arledge, Forrest and Morris families lived near Saluda NC, Polk Co., Hendersonville, NC and other surrounding areas (Henderson Co; Rutherford County). The Phillips'(Dennis, Lindsey, Noah, Alexander, Burkett) (Chatham Co. NC) Grubbs (James William, Joseph Pearson)families live or lived in Winston-Salem, NC Walkertown etc (Forsyth and Stokes Counties) Harpers of Harpers Crossroads (Joseph, William) in Chatham County, NC. Southern and Marshall families in Forsyth Co., NC and Stokes Co., NC.
I am particularly interested in finding my great grandfather's (Hezekiah Gudger Liner) parents, Matthew and Jane Guinn (Gwinn) Liner of Haywood County, NC. Jane was born in SC; Mother was Adline Guinn (Gwinn). Matthew's second wife, Laura Bell Bryant of Crabtree Twp., Haywood County, NC. Some of the Liner children from Matthew moved to Greenville Co., SC.One, Thomas Liner, married Susie Hammond of Greenville Co., SC.Areas in SC are Greer, SC; Duncan, SC; Greenville and surrounding areas in Spartanburg Co.; Landrum, SC; Spartanburg, SC.
If anyone can help me fill any holes, it would be greatly appreciated. I will be happy to fill any of your holes, if I can.
