All trees flourish and grow and mine has not been an exception. The family tree is growing bigger each and every week as I continue to research and discover new additions. The greatest discovery continues to be the finding of family members now spread around the country. The number of "cousins" has also grown over the last four years.
Names I am currently researching include, but are not limited to: Siford, David, Hockenberry, Fifield, McCracken, Litz, Braniff, Letcher, Murphy, Coyer, Bell, Greenwood, plus some others. My family has all been centered around Clearfield and Centre County in PA. On my maternal side, the earliest ancestors landed inPhiladelphia.
My gr gr Grandfather was Daniel Siford, born in 1820 in Snyder Co. PA. He married Nancy McCracken, born in 1816 in Clearfield Co. PA. Daniel's father, William, was born in Germany, according to the 1880 census. William married a woman named Mary. She and the children eventually settled in Ohio after Williams death. The Siford line is proving the most difficult as we try to locate their origins in Germany.
Any information or assistance would be appreciated. I am certainly willing to share what I have.
