The information found in these archives is an ongoing work on the history of our families proudly bearing the surnames SIMMONS, RAPER, BOLES (also known as BOAL), MAY, KIRKES and KINDRICK. Coming soon will be additional history on other family members such as LIGHT, DILLARD, HAMMONS and VETETO. The facts herein are true and correct to the best of our knowledge. Many, many long hours of hard work have brought this information to the internet. I'd especially like to thank my dear cousin Millard H. Simmons, without whom I never would have completed this file, for his life long dedication to the research and documentation on the Simmons, Raper, Boles and Light Families, and for his generosity in sharing them with me. I'd also like it to be noted that the gathering of those documents is his credit alone and not mine. In an effort to further expand our research, I would gladly exchange information with anyone who has an interest in the individuals listed in these documents, or who may have information which will lead to more detailed facts about these individuals' ancestors. I am particularly intersted in the following individuals: JAMES BOAL (b. abt. 1730), father of CHARLES BOAL (b. abt. 1750) and Grandfather of THOMAS BOLES, born July 5, 1776 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. WILLIAM SIMMONS (b. Apr 29, 1804 Pond Spring District, Walker County, Georgia) married MARY PUCKETT (b. Apr 29, 1802, South Carolina). ENOCH RAPER (b. early-mid 1800's, possibly North Carolina) married WINIFRED LOUISA (LOU) BUTLER. Lived at one time in Tishimongo County, Mississippi and later moved to Arkansas.
