I am researching my Jeaffreson forbares, being a descendent of the Jeaffresons of Dullingham. I can get no further back than Samuel Jeaffreson of Pettistree, Suffolk, born in the reign of Henry V111.I am trying to trace back from him, acknowledging that the original Norman name was Fitz-Geoffrey. I have visited St Kitts, been to Samuel Jeaffresons grave and the remains of the Red Plantation. My information comes mainly from the privately published book, "The Jeaffreson Family" by Maria Therese Jeaffreson, in 1922 and from many notes made by my mother.
