I am constantly searching for information on Richard Few, who emigrated to America from Market Lavington, Wiltshire, England on William Penn's ship, the "Welcome" in 1682.
Also, C. Marmaduke Gardner, who immigrated from Dublin, Ireland in the 1700s; William L. Smith, an English Naval Officer who, from what I was told, settled in the Mississippi/Alabama Gulf Coast in the early 1800s; and Jacob Jeffcoat.
The Smith and Jeffcoat clues began from a Geneology paper written as a school project, by my aunt, who received the information verbally from my grandfather, Edward Alvin Thomas Smith, and grandmother, Margaret Josephine (Jeffcoat)Smith, over 40 years ago. The report did not contain dates, and has not been entirely verified by document at this time.
Any contribution you could make to my efforts would be appreciated.
I will be constantly updating these pages, as I run across new informaton.
I am willing to share any information I have available.
Thank you for visiting.
~~I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to my search. Particularly, Maxine Milligan (GARDNERS), Don & Sandy Ruyle, Howell Wesley Mann (FEWS), Kendra Hoffman and James Joseph Jeffcoat (JEFFCOATS).~~
