I am researching the Boyd family. The earliest record I have is William Boyd born approx 1710.I don't know where he was before that.He married Jane Stevenson on Feb 25, 1772 and they had one son: James and five daughters: Martha, Agnes (Nancy), Jenny, Elizabeth, Mary.
My grandparents are Turner Boyd and Rosa Mae Keathley.I am starting with all persons referred to me that are still living. Some deceased people's names will arise from these interviews. When I have exhausted this research, if I ever do, I will begin research of my deceased relatives, first by census records, then by interviews.
Any information would be appreciated.I am also willing to share the information that I have.
It is now Nov. 2008 and I am thinking how naive I had been back then, in the good ole days. Before I learned that my ancestors really were fruitful and really did multiply!!
To do a good job of keeping everything up to date would take a well staffed office full time! And that's just for the ones decended from the ones already mentioned!
I've gotten a couple of emails and a couple of calls from some of you.I don't know, I'll think about trying to bring some of it up to date.
