Catherine Cecilia Stoop (nee Finnegan) - died Saturday, 24 October 1959

Catherine C. Stoop, 85, of 35 E. 23rd St., Chester, died Saturday at home after a month's illness. Mrs. Stoop had lived with her son, John W. Stoop for the last five years.A native of Pittsburgh, she had lived in Chester for some 20 years prior to 1940.She returned to Pittsburgh to live and again returned to Chester. She was a charter member of St. Robert's Church of Chester. Besides her son, she is survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Ann Green and Mrs. Margaret Jones, both of Aspinwall, Pa. The Viewing will be this evening at the John L. Clancy Funeral Home, 9th and Upland Sts., Chester.The funeral will be there Tuesday at 9 A. M.Solemn requiem mass will follow at 10 A. M. at St. Robert's.Burial will be in Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Linwood.
