Kate,I don't think your Perry ancestry and mine join. I checked out these names in the Lancaster County Public Library which has what is called the PERRY BELLE HOUGH PAPERS. As you can see Perry was in her name. She did a lot of research on her line and naturally I looked for my Robert Newton Perry, b. ca. 1826, in her papers but could not find him and have never found his parents.It won't do any good to ask the library for information from the papers but they might suggest someone you could hire (better still, visit the library yourself). These Perrys are largely from the area east of the present county-seat town of Lancaster, SC.
