I am researching the Surname SWARBROOK(E) which is believed to be a variant of SWARBRICK as well as SWARBRECK.My research has taken me back through the Silk and Cotton Mills of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire into Cheshire and Lancashire.
My earliest proven Ancestor is John SWARBROOK who married Ann Daivey in Macclesfield, Cheshire in 1758.
Although I have the marriage details and all their known children plus their subsequent marriages and deaths - I can not find the birth of John anywhere in Cheshire or surrounding Counties.
This may be where the name changed from 'Brick' to 'Breck' to 'Brook'.
Would appreciate any information on any variant of the name, but especially on the SWARBRICK connections.
Would also like Family Tree details of any Swarbrick, Swarbreck or Swarbrooke anywhere in the world.
