Emma Webb was wife to Rev. John Webb (my great grandparents). She was a Methodist ministers wife who served the various communities they lived in as midwife, wet nurse and undertaker - by that I mean she helped families prepare their dead loved ones for burial. She lived all her life trying to serve God and her community. In her later years she was almost blind but she still kept busy by shelling peas and pecans. She couldn't see what she was doing but her hands and her heart always lead her.She lived to be in her 90's.
