That is to say, First and Principally, I bequeath my soul to God, trusting through the Merits of my Blessed Saviour to have free Pardon and Remission of all my Sins, and my Body to the Earth to be decently buried. As for such Worldly Goods it hath pleased God to bestow upon me, I bequeath in manner following. Item - To my daughter Elizabeth, my own bed, with all its furniture, A Sett of Curtains and Valyons, a young mare and a cow yearling. Item - To my daughter Elizabeth, one Chest and her choice of the Pewter dishes, a large Pewter Basin, and her choice of the Iron Pots. Item - I bequeath unto my son William Thorn, the next choice of the beds with all its furniture, the Buccaneer's Gun, a chest, - the next choice of the Pots, my newest suit of clothes, and my Castor Hat. Item - I give and bequeath unto my son William Thorn, one cow yearling. Item - I give and bequeath unto my eldest son John Thorn and his heirs forever, all my lands with all the Houses and Edifices thereon and no more. Item - I give and bequeath to the Rest of my children all the rest or remainder of my movable Estate, to be Equally Divided amongst them, hereby constituting my son-in-law, Isaac Shamwell executor, of this my last will and testament. But in case of his Mortality, then my son James Thorn to be my Executor.
