WILLIAM, Watertown, came in 1635 or 6, from Staple in Kent, emb. at Sandwich, with w. Martha, three ch. and one serv. had Daniel, b. 20 Jan. 1639; and Mary, 8 Apr. 1643; rem. to Reading; was freem. 1653, had John, wh. surv. f. and mo. d. 13 May 1673. His d. Martha married. Richard Oldham, first, and next, Thomas Brown, prob. d. before her f. whose will of 26 Sept. preced. names w. Martha, eldest s. John and his ch., Daniel and his ch., d. Mary, and two s.-in-law, Thomas Brown, and Francis Moore. The wid. d. 1681. WILLIAM, Reading, prob. s. of the preced. made freem. 1691. An Abigail E. aged 35, with Mary, 4, and Thomas, 1, came 1635, in the Elizabeth and Ann, foll. no doubt the h. and f. to us unkn.

According to History of the Eaton Family by Molyneux p. 278 – Sarah Eaton m. Joseph Dodge 1671; she was the daughter of Jonas Eaton & Grace Unknown; Jonas was the son of the immigrants William Eaton (of Reading) & Martha Jenkins; William descends from the Eyton’s of Shropshire whose lineage back to the 12th century has been much discussed in this forum recently.

(XIX) William Eaton, son of William Eaton, married Jane Hussey and died before 1584. His widow Jane died that year, leaving a will dated August 27, 1584, proved December 29 following. She left instructions to be buried in the church yard of St. James, at Dover, England, where the family lived. She named her son-in-law, James Huggenson, and gave directions for the education of her sons. John, Peter and Nicholas, and her eldest son William. One of the daughters married (???) Allen and Barbara Allen administered her father's estate a few months after her mother's death. (XX) Peter Eaton, son of William Eaton, married Elizabeth Patterson. Children: William, came to Reading, Massachusetts, from Staple, England, sailing from Sandwich before June 9, 1637; Jonas, mentioned below; also other children.
