ELLEN LOUISE THOMPSON | This is a result of my family research to date.I am still working on it and will update as I find more information.I'm working on one branch at a time, and right I'm concentrating on the Scott and Lyons line.I haven't done any out of country research as yet, so the line ends with the first generation in the U.S.Next I will concentrate on the Kohler line.I welcome any information anyone might have that will add to my tree, or any corrected information. I have managed to find birth, marriage and death information on my great-grandparents, Catherine Lyons and Peter Scott, but I'm having difficulty with the time between their marriage in 1879 and Catherine's death from cancer of the uterus in 1896. I found what I think is the right Peter in the 1900 Census and the death records from Massachusetts Vital Records on the web site of New England Historical Genealogical Society. Most of the information matches what other info I have on Peter, except for a slight difference in the birth info.According to the Death certificate, he was in the Grafton Colony, Worcester Insane Asylum for 17 years at the time of his death on 30 April 1907 as a result of Chronic valvular heart disease and Pulmonary tuberculosis. In the 1900 census he was listed as a patient at the same institution, but his birth date is listed as Feb 1856, where his birth record is listed as 28 Nov 1855. Any corroborating or different information would be welcomed. |
