|After a few years of searching, I finally have about 1400 people in my family tree! |
The main branches I have are English, French-Canadian and Irish. And until the last 2 generations, they haven't mingled with anyone but themselves (for the most part)! (I haven't found ANYTHING but French (Canadian), English and Irish... Odd.)
The English side is by far the most comprehensive and easiest to trace. They came over on the Mayflower and a few ships right around that time. And stayed in Massachusetts until my parents left 35 years ago!
The French-Canadian side has been a little tougher... I am still learning about the history of that side.
The Irish side is by far the most difficult to trace. They came to the US in the late 1800's and settle in the Boston area. Any suggestions about how to trace this side would be greatly appreciated!
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me. Happy hunting!
