| I am presently looking for information on the following surnames who live in Tennessee: Touchstone, Morris, Bell, Ray and Flowers. All recent histories are centered in and around north west Tennessee. I am currently searching for information concerning James Stephen Touchstone who was born in Lincoln County Tn. in 1865. His whereabouts from birth to marriage to my grandmother Elizabeth Morris at Obion County Tn. in 1908 is unknown to me. I would like to know when and under what circumstances he moved from southern Middle Tn. to Obion Co. Tn. State census show a Daniel and Stephen Touchstone in 1820 or so, residing in Lincoln County Tn. Where did these two come from? The names appear in various records of both North and South Carolina during the late 1700's. I am also searching for information concerning James Morris and Ida Ray, my maternal g-grandparents. They resided in Obion County Tennessee during the late 1800's as well.
