Dr. amon Montgomery Vail, 50, formerly of this place, (Thompsonville), and for several years until the fall of 1942 a practicising physician in Windsor Locks, died Friday at the Hotel Worthy in Springfield, Mass., where he had been residing. Dr. Vail was born in Enfield, a son of the late Dr. Edwin Smith Vail and Mrs Sarah (Tillson) Vail. After attending the Enfield schools, he graduated from Yale in 1914, and Harvard Medical School in 1918. Following an internship of two years at artford Hospital he was associated with his father in the Elmcroft Sanatorium here, but upon his father's death followed the medical profession at Windsor Locks. Dr. Vail leaves one brother, Dr. Thornton E. Vail of Thompsonville and three nieces, Mrs. Erle Martin of West Hartford and the Misses Marie and Virginia Vail of Thompsonville. The funeral will be held at the home of (sic) Tuesday at 11 a. m. Rev. B. Paul Pardy, pastor of Enfield Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Enfield Street Cemetery.
