I am researching the UNTERWEGER-WAEGER-WEEGER-WEGER-WAGAR family lines that originated in Austria. I have information back to the 1400s, but there are a lot of "holes" left to fill in. This is my husband's paternal grandfather side. The oldest ancestor that we have is CHRISTIAN UNTERWEGER. I do not have dates or the name of his spouse. I do know that he had at least one son, CASPER, who was born in 1560 and died in 1645. My information is sketchy until I reach the fourth generation (GEORGE WEGER b.1620 in Austria, d. 1680). This is my current project, since I have so much information so far. I know that some of the "Wagars" stayed in New York and New England, some migrated to Michigan, and some migrated to Canada. I would like to pull all of these relatives together.
My husband's maternal grandfather's side is the PIERCE family. I have not begun research here, but will update my site once I begin.
My maternal grandmother's side is the COBB family. The oldest ancestor that I have come across is CHARLES BANKS COBB, who was born in 1817 (place unknown) and married AMELIA GILES. Together they had 12 children.
My maternal grandfather's side is the ELLISON family. I also have not started digging to deep into this family. The oldest ancestor that I have is TOM ELLISON. I do not know when he was born, died, or who he married. I only know of one son, DAVID EUGENE, who was born in 1881 in Chilton County, Alabama. DAVID married CORA ELLEN MARTIN. I know Cora's parents, but don't have anything further back. Her father was WILL MARTIN (possibly WILLIAM) and her mother was (SUSAN COBB). I don't believe that there is any relation between SUSAN and the above-mentioned CHARLES BANKS, but I haven't been able to uncover this yet.
My paternal grandfather's side are the WILSON-KNIGHT famlies. The oldest WILSON ancestor that I know of is ANDREW JACKSON WILSON, who was born in 1885 and married SARAH ELIZABETH POPWELL. The oldest KNIGHT ancestor that I know if is RICHARD LEE KNIGHT, who was born in 1768 in South Carolina. He married Martha (last name unknown).
My paternal grandmother's side are the MARTIN-SEALE families. The oldest MARTIN ancestor (in this family of MARTINs) is JACOB MARTIN, who was born before 1800 in North Carolina. These MARTINs were thought to be some of the original settlers of Jamestown. JACOB married BEADIE ANN SEALE. The oldest SEALE ancestor that I know of is JAMES SEALE, who was married to FRANCIS CRIMM. JAMES SEALE AND BEADIE ANN SEALE are not related. At least not according to any research that I have. I have not gotten too deep into the SEALE families, nor into the CRIMM family.
If you have any information on any of the above listed families, I would appreciate any help that I can get. Also, I am willing to share the information that I have. I have many different family names in my tree, and they are too numerous to list. You can look through my family reports to review the other names associated with these families
