Margaret was placed "on licence" in April 1901 (this usually meant being allowed to take up employment or return to family), and was discharged in June 1901. Elsie was discharged in June 1903 and went to Los Angeles; Catherine died in October 1904 (aged 16).
The younger children, John and Jane Stack were admitted to St Joseph's Industrial School, Killarney on 12 September 1898; Mary was admitted a year later. Mary was released "on licence" into the care of her Grandmother (Mrs Stack in Tralee, Co Kerry, Ireland) in December 1904 and was discharged in August 1909.
