I am working on my husband's family which starts with FYSCH in England. When they came to America they changed the spelling of their name to FISH. Then there is Nathaniel BUNN who appears in the New England area in the 1700's. He had a son who fought and died in the Revolutionary War and a grandson, Matthew, who was captured by the Indians around Ft. Detroit. After his escape he went on to marry Susannah Fish. Two of his granddaughters married James Lavender LANCASTER.James moved from Calhoun County to Barry County, Michigan. James Lavender LANCASTER was born in England. His father James Lavender LANCASTER died between 1826 and 1829.James mother then married Joseph PRYOR.The PRYOR family was sent to America by the Heathfield Independence Church to get them off the churches "poor list".They settled in Calhoun County, MI. The other branch of the family starts with Robert Henry WALTERS, who died in the Civil War 1865.His grandson, Robert Henry, married Marion Melinda LANCASTER. The other family names I am working on are:DAY, PITT, SANDERS, HOOBER. On my fathers side of the family we are only 2 generations from the old country. My great grandparents were Ignacuis KARPINSKI and Tolfia SPARKOWIZKA from Poland. My grandfather Walter Peter KARPINSKI came to America in 1902.
