The Botts line began in Baden, Germany but there is little known in our family about mygreat, great, greatgrandfather Henry Botts who came to the U.S. after jumping ship while in Baden's Standing Army. HE came to Ohio where he settled in lower southwestern Ohio , mainly in the Clinton county and Wilmington, Ohio area.Henry married Elizabeth Gerard of Alsace-Lorraine.This is what we know at this point. We are searching our lines backward and forward to find the Botts family here in the United States. This started as a project for the BOTTS family reunion which in 2002 will be held by my grandfather, Elon Botts andmygrandma Eva. This is dedicated to all those who have come and passed before me including my son, Roger Lee Wheeler III,my mother Linda Kay (Graham, Botts) Lascola, and my grandmothers Shirley Jo (Jones) Botts, and Pearl Grace (Sites, Graham) Sites , all of whom i neverreally knew. May they rest in peace. I also dedicate this to my childrenScott Edward, Linda Kay, Abigail Marie, andDavid Christopher, may you all ifnd our family heritage as interesting and enjoyable as I have. Any and all assistance in my endeavors to get this project will be greatfully appreciated.I amwilling to Share my information with others. | Henry Botts descendants and ancestors Updated July 9, 2001 |
