Mrs. Chris Schild Dies at C. Falls
Cedar Falls---Mrs. Chris Schild, 73 died at her home, 215 Ninth street east, Tuesday night following a brief illness.
She had been in failing health for some time but her condition was not considered serious at any time previous to a few days before her death.
Emma Martin was born in a farm near Lansing, Oct. 4, 1866, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Martin. She grew to young womanhood in that vicinity and on May 17, 1893* she was married to Chris Schild. They lived here for the past 18 years. Mr. Schild died in June, 1939.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph, Cedar Falls, and, Elmer, Cresco, and a daughter, Myrtle, Grand Forks N. D.
There is one granddaughter, Marlene, daughter, Elmer. Also living are two brothers, John Martin, Cedar Falls, and William Martin, Ontario, Cal., and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Kratz, Ossian, and Mrs. John Puls, Los Angeles, Cal. A brother, Edward, preceded her in death this summer. His home was in Waterloo.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete awaiting the arrival of the daughter.
