|Welcome to my little place on the Net!I have been researching my family's history for a bit over 20 years, and have located many cousins through the use of the Internet.I hope to add your name to that list!|
My four main surnames are:
1. Stowe (England, New England and the South - about 1500 to now)
2. Corbin (England, VA, SC, GA and AL - 1100s to now)
3. Kemp (GA, AL, SC and prob. VA then England)
4. Hunt (GA, NC and prob. VA then England)
I have the Stowe and Corbin lines back to England and probably won't find earlier information on them without funding my own archeological dig, (NOT!) and have been working on the related lines for them. However, I can use all the help on the Kemp and Hunt lines that I can get.
Related surnames in the South, including VA, NC, SC, GA, AL and TN are: Whitener/Weidner, Wilson, Mann, Searcey, Moseley, Brand, Gordon, Shepherd, McKinney, Buchanan, Buchannon, Camp, Deweese, Proffitt, Ray, Lee and Willingham.
Related surnames in England and New England, especially CT and MA, are: Howe, Merriam, Pierpont, Bigg, Adam/Adams, Clark, Cotton, Davis, Gilbert, Griggs, Hall, Hooker, Hubbard, Jones, Kirby, Lord, Miller, Morse, Newton, Rice, Rittenhouse, Rockwell, Sage, Savage, Sherman, Starr, Stone, Sumner, Trowbridge, Ward, Wetmore, White, Wooley, Wolcott, and Young. There are many more, but too many to list here.
I hope you find a common surname here - if you do, please don't hesitate to contact me by email - I'd be more than happy to share information with you.
