|The Wroten family ancestry can be traced almost four hundred years to the early 1600's. The first ancestor, George Boone I, was born before 1620 in England. His only known child was George Boone II who was born November 17, 1646 near Exeter, Devonshire, England. He died in 1706. He was a blacksmith and married to Sarah Uppey. She died at age 80.|
They had four children including George Boone III who was born in Stoke, England in 1666. George Boone III was a weaver by profession and was married to Mary Maudridge. They had eight children including Squire Boone who was maried to Sarah Morgan. Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan had eleven children which included Israel Boone, the descendant and the brother of the famous Daneil Boone.
The information following Israel Boone shows that he had one known child, Johnathan, who continued the line with one child named Eleanor Boone . She married Jeremiah Clark and produced Jehu Clark who had a child by the name of Louisa Mae Clark. She married Zack Wroten; thus, the begining of the Wroten line.
Zack and Louisa Mae Clark had four children; Mary, Willie, Clark and Andrew Jackson[1860-1945]. Andrew married Emma Susan Crawford[1866-1917]. According to family they rode horseback from Decatur to Union to be married in 1883. They had fourteen children and thirty seven grandchildren. Emma died young at age fifty one and left two small girls, one daughter age seventeen and five sons at home with her husband. The Wrotens lived an honest life with integrity and devotion to family and church.
