Searching for information on the following surnames:Baker, Butler, Craft, Pruett, Wyatt, Curd, Bost.Originating from VA, GA, TN, AR, MO
Samuel Baker was born in 1818 in TN.He married Forrance ?, his mother's name was Peggy, born in 1760 in PA.Father's name unknown.Their children were:W. A.; George; I.; Henry Wilson(my gggrandfather)born 1846 in TN; Mary; Lucy; and Thomas.
Henry married Mary Kirk Jan 22, 1863 in Dyer County, TN.They apparently made their way to MO because my grandmother, Minnie Etta Baker, born Dec 1872 in TN,married my grandfather Feland B. Pruett July 29, 1897 in Senath, MO.Both Minnie & Feland died in 1904.
I am also searching for information on John Wesley Butler. Sr., born Sep 3, 1840 in GA.He married Nancie Ann ?.Their children were:Mary Jane; Lydie, John Wesley, Jr. (my grandfather) born Oct 12, 1864 in AL, Emmett;Andrew;Jasper; Ader; and Tinnie.John W. Jr married 1st Marthy Hopkins, 2nd Rosa Whitehead.Am unsure when he came to MO, before marriage to Rosa Jane in about 1891.
Also searching for earlier information on George Craft, born Oct 27, 1827 in NC, died Sep 6, 1910 in Cape Girardeau County, MO.Have much information to share on generations after him.
Another line I am searching is Shadrach Prewitt-Pruett, born 1765 in VA.Some of the family spread to NC, TN, then later some to MO.Those in MO are my direct descendents.
The line I am having the most difficulty with is my husband's.His great grandfather, Thomas J. Wyatt was born Sep 1814 in VA.He made his way to TN & married Maryann Elizabeth Curd, probably in 1870, where they had a son, James William Nov 26, 1871, Sullivan County, TN.Old Thomas (and he was about 57 years old at that time) promptly deserted Maryann & baby & was never heard from again. The scoundral! The family never talked about him, so we know absolutely nothing about his siblings, parents & probably other marriage & children.Any help particularly on this line would be greatly appreciated.I am also willing to share information on any of these lines.
