17. John⁴ Washington (Lawrence⁵, Lawrence⁶, Robert⁷, Lawrence⁸, John⁹, Robert¹⁰, Robert¹¹) was born in Purleigh, Essex, England 1633. John died 1676 in Washington, Westmoreland, VA, at 43 years of age.

He married Anne Pope in Westmoreland Co, Va, 1 Dec 1658. Anne was the daughter of Nathaniel Pope and Lucy. Anne died 1667 in Westmoreland Co, Va.

John Washington and Anne Pope had the following child:
