4. James⁴ Allen (Samuel³, George², Ralph¹) was born Sandwich, Barnstable, MA 1637. James died 24 Jul 1714 in Chilmark, Barnstable, MA, at 77 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Partridge Braintree, Norfolk, MA, 1662. Elizabeth was born in Duxbury, Plymouth, MA 1644. Elizabeth was the daughter of George Partridge and Sarah Tracy. Elizabeth died 7 Aug 1722 in Chilmark, Barnstable, MA, at 78 years of age.

James Allen and Elizabeth Partridge had the following child:

5 i. Amy⁵ Allen was born Sandwich, Barnstable, MA 15 Aug 1663. Amy died 24 Feb 1708/1709 in Falmouth, Barnstable, MA, at 45 years of age. She married John Hatch in Falmouth, Barnstable, MA, 7 Dec 1683. John was born in Falmouth, Barnstable, MA 7 May 1654. John was the son of Jonathan Hatch and Sarah Rowley. John died 16 Feb 1737/1738 in Falmouth, Barnstable, MA, at 83 years of age. (See John Hatch for the continuation of this line.)
