He married Sylvia Lee ca 1813. Sylvia was born in Schaghticoke, NY 30 Apr 1794. Sylvia was the daughter of Anthony Lee and Amy. Sylvia died 31 Dec 1837 in Ellicott, Chautauqua, NY, at 43 years of age.

Elvin Hunt and Sylvia Lee had the following child:
