I originally began my family genealogical journey in 1972 when I was directed by my Norwegian Language professor to write a short paper on my Norwegian roots. Through the years, the information has accumulated in volume and the urgency of research has become more intense as primary sources become fewer and fewer.
Through the years, I have had a lot of help in gathering information, from my grandfather's sisters in 1972, to my Uncle Norman and Aunt Gladys, to my brother Ted and cousin Roger.
It is my hope that this will become a source of information for my sons, nephews and nieces, as well as other family members, that the heritage of the Aanensons will not be lost.
I will also be working on the Hovland Family Tree and for my sons' sakes, I will file a family tree for the Eastgates of Larimore, ND.
I appreciate any input or contribution to my quest.
