Godfrey Peter Rose (son of Peter Rose and Anna Rosina Boeckel) was born August 17, 1775, and died 1799 in Philadelphia, Pa. He married Margeretha Green.

Joseph Mechlin Rose was 4 and his brother William 2 when their father died.
After the death of Peter Rose, his wife, whose maiden name was Margeret Green( An English Lady) married a Mr. Elliott, later he died and she married a Mr Wayne. She was living with one of her daughters in Ohio when she died. It has been noted from members of the Rose family that Peter Rosa gave some land in what would now be the central part of Philadelphia to be used as a burying ground.
