Emma Sybilla Rose (daughter of Joseph Mechlin Rose and Maria Rosina Kremser) was born December 18, 1829 in Philadelphia, Pa( possibly Bethlehem), and died November 10, 1915 in Bethlehem, Pa. She married Frederick Walter on April 25, 1857 in By Rev Edmund deSchweinitz.

She and her sister Ellen resided in the Sisters House(Moravian Church) for a period of of about 30 years, making and selling Moravian Mints and Sweets. Joined the church when she was about 10. She served as Sacristan for 30 years and was head Sacristan for about 10 years.
Had 2 children, one died shortly after birth and the other when about 3 months old.
Emma noted to Ida Rose that the Kremsers were wealthy people in Germany.
Obituary, Bethlehem Globe Times: Mrs. Emma Sybilla Rose Walter,widow of the late Frederick Walter, died of apoplexy this morning at the home of her great niece, Mrs. Charles H. Gross, of 218 West Street,aged 85 years,10months, and 22 days. She was born December 18, 1829 at Philadelphia, a daughter of Joseph Mechlin and Maria Kremser Rose. She was united in marriage on April 25,1867, to Mr Walter by the late Reverend Edmund deScheinwitz. She was a member of the Moravian Church and served many years as a sacristan. She is survived by 5 nieces and one nephew. The funeral will occur on Saturday at 2 PM,with private services at the house. Public services will follow at 2:30 in the Old Moravian Chapel. Internment will be made in the Nisky Hill Cemetery
